Lanzarote wines

Lanzarote is live wine, a measured tune of noble legacy, and thanks to the wit of former generations, a firm believer in its dry, subtropical climate. The great volcanic eruption in 1730 covered a third of the island and ruined the best areas of agriculture. Nonetheless, the benefical mantle of black sand together with the walls built of volcanic stone undertake a thermo regulating function and preserve the earth´s humidity from strong exposure to sunshine and almost constant winds.

The malvasia prevails amongst those wines. Its small and high quality grape has perfectly adapted to its environment, and it conveys its balance, taste and aroma to the wine. This grape transfers a peculiar nuance to the wine of Lanzarote, which is fundamentally golden white. Other varieties are: Muscatel, White and black listán, Diego, White Burra and Negramoll.
