The north land contrasts

From the capital Arrecife, in direction to orzola we pass Tahiche, where the Fundacion cesar manrique is located. We go on to Guatiza, where the main attraction, famous for its cactus plantation, is the Jardín de Cactus, Cesar Manrique´s last work, who died afterwards. We continue to mala, arrieta, a small fishermen´s village and known for its good fish, from where we go on to visit the Cueva de los Verdes and Jameos del Agua, beautiful cave with outstanding acoustics where famous concerts have been held. Both places recommended to be visited day and night.

Back to Arrieta we head for Haría, valley of the 1000 palm trees a typical village with a touch of African oasis. We continue to El Mirador del Río, balcony over the precipice of Famara, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the island of La graciosa. On the way back we head again for Haria in direction to Los Valles and Teguise. In Nazaret we recommend a visit at the Restaurant-Museum lagomar.
