The volcanic centre

Leaving Yaiza, we take the road which leads to the Montañas del Fuego, zone of recent volcanism with its National Park of Timanfaya, one of the islands main attractions.

From there on going through Yaiza we head for La Geria, zone of great scenic interest, dedicated to wine cultivation.

Pasing the village of Masdache, we can stop to visit the winemuseum of El Grifo, place to try and buy some good local wine, which is situated in one of the oldest wine cellars of the island.
