The offer on accommodation in la graciosa is new and well cared for. It is better to reserve before arriving at la graciosa, specially around Carnival,in summer, during the virgin del Carmen festivities and easter and Christmas holidays. It is always possible to find previous information on the internet in the tourist board offices or in travel agencies.

If we look for a place to stay we will find good accommodation, comfortable and clean with an optimum quality/price relationship. In Caleta del Sebo is where the entire accommodation offer concentrates, with pensions where the bathroom is shred and the rooms are clean and full of light, or houses for longer stays, comfortable apartments with excellent views, including a well conditioned camping area with showers and bathrooms, not far from the capital.

La Graciosa is not a place for mass tourism but it is an ideal in which you can literally forget to wear shoes and where walking barefoot will not encounter strange looks. High heels are not recommended since they would finish up stuck in the sand. And referring to clothes, to dive into the clear waters a bathing suit is an absolute must and a light jersey for the evening is appropriate.

Obviously a sun screen and a hat are not to be forgotten as once we walk away from Caleta del Sebo it will be almost impossible to find any shadow.

A visit to la Graciosa incurs into relatively modest expenses as the island offers little possibilities of spending money. It is better to do your shopping in lanzarote although here you can find some little typical souvenirs, such as practical palm leaf hats, typical marine blue or colourful fishermen’s clothing and beige linen shoes with rubber soles.

The treatment of refuse and waste carries with it very high additional costs and any deterioration of La Graciosa has a major negative impact on the island.

We must not forget that we are talking about a Marine reserve since 1995 which is also reserve of the biosphere since 1992 and natural park since 1984.
