San Bartolome

Inside beautiful fields lovingly tended by man one sees half moon shaped walls of stone shielding the vines whose grapes give the distrinct flavour to the well known wine of Lanzarote, the ethnografic legacy of the farmhands passed down through generations of villageos witnessed by an architectal balance between man and the environment are a major attraction of this Municipality which is situated centre of the Island geographicly.

In Mozaga we find the monument to the fertility by Cesar Manrique and the Museum house to the campesino or frmworkers a reproduction of a typical farmhouse where you can find on display fine examples of the rich local culture, local cuisine, custom, art and crafts.

The monumental heritage of the municipality is large and retains the identity sings of the Island. Two excellent examples are La Casa Ajei, that is now a cultural centre and La Casa Mayor Guerra which has been designated as a building of great cultural interest.

The la geria ruote seeing its cultivation, visiting its winerys that are open to the visitors and its landscapes, with the backdrop of Timanfaya vast fire mouths will captivate and make the day truly a day to remember.
