Tias

Situated south of centre of the island lies Puerto del Carmen the main touristic zone, which changes a sparsely populated fishing village into the most demanded and popular tourist zones in the Canarias with more than 6kms of fine golden beach and a mixture of smalls coves and idilic bays made from local volcanic rocks, that are sutuated around the edge of a calm water seaside resort.

Puerto del carmen has also got an hotel infrastructure and second to none and shows how the tourist activity can be combine in a urbanised development that commonsense and sesivity can co exist

Along the sefront is a promenade the Avenida marítima wide avenue wanded on one side with tourist facilities and services, eg comercial shops, bazaars, coffee shops and restaurants, places of entertainments, and on the seaside, the panoramic view of both beach and sea.

This is one of the few places where you can have everything inclusive relief, relaxation, infraaestructure, entertaintment, services, unique landscape, beachesm ideal weather, sports facilities, identity and tradition.

But puerto del carmen is only the seaside of Tias. A village full of history moulded by the relentless force of nature, the situation and the volcanic origin of Lanzarote, like this, the villages of Conil, Macher, La Asomada, Tegoyo, Masdache, La Geria and the own village of Tias show faithfully Lanzarotian people identity.
